I just lost my partner of 21 years, Mitch, and he loved horses, all animals and was so kind when it came to sharing that love with people. We had a Pyr. We were just moving into a horse farm to rent, with a big country kitchen to cook in. He died in the kitchen door as we were moving in. Your page represents what we were about....I am so sad

We are getting our first pyreenes next week and I just watched your video on brushing them so I checked out your webpage. We have chickens, ducks, and rabbits along with two kids so I wanted to get them a big dog that could protect them all. Thank you for your video and hope all is well.

We have a lovely great pyr, Maeve and had some issues with "hot spots". I have added the occasional can of salmon to her diet and they cleared up beautifully.

Great Site, lotta work, appreciate all the info. We live on a small Farmstead, grow a organic method garden, and have Jersey/Holstein and Jersey Milk Cows, usually 2-3 at a time as they are AI'd and and rotate them out . Denise is busy making Cheese , Butter during calving season. Had a drought this year, and finally got some rain now - sept.'12 . We love canning our garden rewards, Bless you and your Family, AJ and Denise

We recently acquired a great pyranees puppy, Abby, who is now 4 1/2 months old and we have fallen in love. I was fortunate to find your website that has been so helpful information about the breed as well as your other homesteading information. We are in hopes having goats and chickens soon. Thank you for all your work that you share.

So the master went to India on foot. He had never been to India before; perhaps he came from Persia.

I am so glad I found your site; we have had alpacas and guard llamas and recently sold them but I am keeping my chickens. Without the alpacas around the hawks have discovered they have easy access to a meal so I am looking at my choices for guards. I like llamas but am looking into pyrs as well. Great info; thanks

I just found your site and am so glad I did. We too moved from the city to our four acre farm some years ago. We've been raising Jersey cows and chickens, plus an organic garden. Last week, we brought home a couple of Nubian goats and a 9 week old Great Pyrenees puppy. I was looking for help on Google, your site came up top with the search - Great Pyrenees training. I've already learned a few things! Do you ever ship your Great Pyrenees puppies. We drove six hours to get ours yesterday, but I think all the way to TX would be a bit much! I am not sure when, but I anticipate we will want to have more than one Great Pyrenees. Just last night, a fox killed all our new chicks (25 of them...).

I have really been enjoying this site. I found it by googling great pyrenees dog breeders. My husband and I moved from your area to live the country life in Snellman. We started our little farm with a henhouse full of chickens... Something wild ate them and I was terrified to begin again. My family wants to restock the hen house, but I think one of your pups may be just the right place to start. Thank you for the information you have provided. I am going to be a regular visitor! smile

I was looking for bread recipes for my Universal Plus (and Wondermill) and stumbled across your site.

Tried your whole wheat bread recipe. It's wonderful. When asked how the bread tastes, I say "it's addictive it's so good".

Might be the ingredients (honey and fresh ground wheat berries) but I thank you for putting this recipe (and web site) together.

I would only add: a baker (me) needs to use an instant read thermometer to ensure the loaf is cooked to 190-200 F. I found your 20-25 min was too short for the 4x9 loaf pans I used. I added 10 min (30 total) but I believe that is ONLY because my loaves were different size/weight than yours.

THANK YOU!! smile
